Each year the leading manufacturers of ceramic tiles meet in Cersaie, the international exhibition that takes place in Bologna at the same time as Tecnargilla in Rimini (the years that Tecnargilla takes place). But besides being the main international forum for manufacturers, at Cersaie we can see what the trends will be in the coming months. Here at Molde Azul we work hard to anticipate these trends and to always offer our customers the ability to go one step ahead and to surprise with their designs.
These are the trends that have drawn our attention to Cersaie and that we will see soon in many homes and public spaces:
– Geometry. Geometric elements are one more year in fashion, either as a format or as motifs in more conventional pieces. Geometry also excels with almost unvelievable reliefes in which the material, ceramics, become the main protagonist.
– Rectangles. The most conventional pieces, rectangular ith a classic brick look coexist with new, more seductive forms. The new bricks come with intricate textures and finishes. In addition, these pieces are used in chevron patterns, a trend that is here to stay.
– Soft textures. We achieve greater perfection in the manufacturing process and thus, a greater realism of the pieces. The new ceramics offer delicate textures that resemble pieces made with lace and other traditional fabrics.
– Large formats. The big ones of the collections reinvent themselves and go clearly for realism with smooth reliefs that increase the added value of the piece. Those textures reminiscent of wood and cement continue another year as the real protagonists of the large formats.
